My name is Noriko. Today, I’d like to share a message for international students in Japan.
It’s been almost two months since the school year started in April.
How has your life in Japan been so far?
You may be learning many new things—Japanese language, culture, and daily life.
Maybe you’re studying hard, doing homework, and getting used to new routines.
That takes a lot of energy. You’re doing your best, and that’s something to be proud of.
As life starts to feel a little more stable, you might notice some quiet feelings inside.
It’s normal to feel unsure sometimes.
You might think, “I can’t say what I want,” or “This feels different from what I expected.”
That’s okay. It just means your heart is catching up.
I understand how hard it can be to live in a new place and speak a new language.
Sometimes, your feelings may come from cultural differences.
Other times, it may be a change happening inside you.
If you’d like to talk about it, I’m here to listen.
And you don’t have to talk only about worries.
You can also share things like a challenge you overcame, something fun you discovered, a new part of yourself you noticed, or ideas for how to enjoy life in Japan more.
This can be a relaxed space to talk freely—no pressure, no need to prepare.
