Hi, I am Noriko Murakami. I am a counselor/therapist in the Kuretake Mental Health Office in Osaka.　I have a safe, peaceful, and private session room 15 minutes away from Tennoji Station and Namba Station. In person one-on-one sessions are available.

Starting a weekly English blog, so to begin, I would like to introduce myself since this is my first one.

I spent time studying and working in Australia after graduating from high school. It's been a long time since then.
Upon my return to Japan, I worked for companies that dealt with overseas operations, and I worked with individuals mostly from Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Germany. I left my job and set up my own online store to sell fashion items, including a hijab for Muslims in Japan.

After total career change, my work at a Japanese language school in Osaka influenced my decision to become a counselor. I have had the opportunity to work with students from more than 30 countries. My job started with supporting applying for a student visa before coming to Japan. After arriving and enrolling, I supported daily matters until they become used to and settle in Japanese life. As they get used to living, there are different difficulties that come up because of language and cultural differences. So, my main role was to be someone they could talk to when they needed it. Trusting me and sharing their honest feelings and vulnerable side made me feel grateful.

I have done my best as a school staff, but I chose the profession of counselor because I wanted to create a place where all people who love Japan and come to live in Japan can come and talk, and I especially want to support foreigners living in Japan.

In Japan, there are many public institutions that help foreigners, and recently, there have been more doctors who speak English. But if you need someone to talk to, or to be listened to and understood, I am here for you. I want you to know that there is a place you can come whenever you need it.
